Cookies

This site sets no cookies. That is the whole story, but here is the detail, because it is the kind of claim worth being precise about.

What we do not use

propcode.tech is a static site. It does not set cookies of any kind: not first-party, not third-party, not “strictly necessary” ones. It also does not use local storage, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, advertising tags, a chat widget, or any embedded third-party content. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not call out to anyone else.

One exception, for completeness, because you can see it if you look: the site keeps your scroll position in session storage, so that going back returns you to where you were. It holds a number, it identifies nothing, and your browser discards it when you close the tab.

We do measure which pages get read and which links get clicked, using analytics configured to store nothing at all on your device. It keeps what it needs in the memory of the tab you are looking at, and forgets it the moment you close it. So we can see that a page was read; we cannot see that you were the person who read it, and we cannot recognise you when you come back.

What that means for you

No banner to dismiss, no preference to set and nothing to opt out of, because nothing that identifies you is being kept on your device. You do not have to trust us on this: open your browser’s developer tools, look at stored cookies for this domain, and you will find none.

We went out of our way to set it up this way. It costs us accuracy, because we cannot tell a returning reader from a new one, and we would rather have that than make you click a box.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard request data (your IP address, user agent, and the URL you asked for) to deliver pages and protect the site against attack. That is server-side and involves no cookie on your device. It is described in full in our privacy notice.

If you click through to Calendly

The meeting link on our contact page is an ordinary hyperlink to Calendly. Nothing loads from Calendly until you click it. Once you are on their site you are on their infrastructure: Calendly does use cookies, under its own cookie and privacy policies, and we have no control over them and no visibility of them.

If this changes

We may add a contact form later, or decide we need analytics that can recognise a returning visitor. If we do, we will update this page and our privacy notice first, and put proper consent controls in place before anything is stored on your device. We will not quietly start tracking and document it afterwards.
